Business contacts we approach
Who we are. ACEX AI AS (org. no. 933 356 264), Wergelandsveien 1-3, 0167 Oslo, Norway, is the controller. Contact: privacy@acex.no.
What we use and why
If we have contacted you about our commercial-intelligence services, we use:
- your name, job title and work email address;
- where available, your public LinkedIn profile URL.
We use them, together with public information about your company, only to approach you about services relevant to your role, and to keep track of our correspondence with you.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interests in business-to-business marketing (UK GDPR / GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We have assessed these interests against your rights; the assessment is available on request.
Where we got your details
From the source stated in our first email to you. Typical sources are your company's website, your public LinkedIn profile, Companies House, public news or press releases, conference listings, or a colleague who suggested you.
Who sees your data
- Our sales team.
- Our service providers, acting on our instructions under data processing agreements:
- Google Workspace (email);
- Supabase (database hosting in the EU);
- Maven (our application);
- OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes to (configured for zero data retention). These receive only your job title and public information about your company, never your name or email address.
International transfers
Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses (with the UK addendum) or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
- If you do not reply: 12 months after our last email.
- If we are in contact: 24 months after our last interaction.
- The text of replies: 90 days. After that we keep only a short summary.
- If you ask us not to contact you: we keep a scrambled (hashed) record of your address so that we never email you again.
Your rights
You can ask for:
- access to your data, correction or deletion;
- restriction of the processing;
- a copy of your data (portability) where applicable.
You can object at any time to our use of your data for direct marketing. Reply "unsubscribe" to any of our emails or write to us, and we will stop immediately.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113) or to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
